Developmental / Intellectual Disability Services
Because people have individualized needs and levels of ability, we realize that there cannot be a one size fits all approach to supporting them. Our philosophy has always been to provide people with the support they need and to facilitate opportunities for them to be involved in the things that are important to them. Our foundation is dignity, respect, and quality.
We adhere to the philosophy that people have choice. If you receive services from us in a particular area, you are not obligated to receive all of your services from us. We will collaborate with you and the rest of your team to ensure you are satisfied with the supports your receive from us.
Opportunities for Living...
People have choice in the way they live their lives.
We provide a variety of supports, and services for people to live lives of quality and meaning. The living situation for each person is designed to offer them the greatest amount of independence and most appropriate level of support. You can live in a group home or your own apartment; your living arrangements are based on your needs.
Opportunities for Learning...
Learning is a process that happens on many levels throughout every day.
Learning opportunities are based on people’s needs, desires, and interests. You can learn practical skills in natural settings, which allow you to practice what you learn immediately and to experience success. In addition to learning life and work skills, you will have access to classes offered through many community resources.
Opportunities for Working...
Fulfilling work is important to people.
We strive to match people with employment opportunities that they enjoy. Currently there are people working in jobs ranging from food service to animal care, from customer service to child care, and everything in between. You can choose to apply for jobs based on your preferences, abilities, and job availability.
Opportunities for Playing...
Life should be fun…isn’t that the point?
People should do the things they enjoy in the company of people they like. We support people in developing meaningful relationships, fostering natural supports, and participating in and contributing to their community. We value fun, and encourage people to find every opportunity to experience life.
